R500-1 Features Power and Protect LEDs The Protect LED illuminates if a short circuit or to low of an impedance is detected at the speaker connections. The client more useful to 2 of 2 people found this review helpful. Just Great Plains by J-Roo I love this amp. Originally I had the power two MTX Thunder 5500 by 12-inch sub. It hit twice as hard as when I had them run by a pioneer 250 rms amplifier. Later I traded my two Rockford DVC sub for sub 275 rms at 2ohms wired in parallel and could not be happier with the amp. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. Wonderful power! R. Burris This amplifier is neck in neck with Alpine MRP-M500 amp pushing as the best similar power and similar price-point. This amplifier is slightly more powerful than the Alps, but is also slightly larger. Enough with the comparison with this amp up. I'm pushing a MTX TR5512-04 in a ported enclosure, and although this amp is rated at 320 RMS and the sub is rated 400 RMS can not be said. The amplifier is more than enough to push the sub and sub-to-clean, deep bass. This baby is clean and shakes. Adds depth to all types of music this amp / sub combination adds depth to the existing system in my Hyundai Genesis. I'm happy as a teenager and almost 50:). 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.
